When it comes to technology carburetors weren’t making much progress until the last few years. There have been a few really talented people that have been improving the old Holley style carburetors, but the cost was prohibitive for the average hot rodder. Now companies like Quick Fuel Technology have brought carburetors to the market that are not only good for making horsepower but are so adjustable that when all of the screws have been turned in the right direction and all the jets and air bleeds have been set the resulting drivability is so close to fuel injection that the difference is hard to tell from the driver’s seat.
