Jim Beauregard from Fitchburg had me put together this super clean chevelle for him. I built the trans and rear axle, the engine is a Reid Automotive 500HP street 383. Jim let me put the car together for the most part (not the paint!), and he drove it for most of the season. Taking it to the track for the first time, through mufflers and with drag radials, he ran an 11.7. Not too shabby for the first time out. With a little tuning and some suspension adjustment this car should run much quicker and still be able to take Jim to the beach whenever the mood strikes him. Beautiful car.

1972 Chevelle, Reid Automotive 383, THM400 built by HRG, 3800 rpm stall speed torque converter specially made for Jim from spec’s supplied by us at HRG, a bullet proof 12 bolt with 4.10’s, lots of tougher suspension parts, and some TLC. We always run non aqueous polypropylene glycol in all our builds here at HRG, specifically Evans brand. Anything else is prehistoric.
